There are three major factors that can affect the atomic proportion (Y/N) of yttrium oxide powder: temperature, vacuum level and nitriding process. You should achieve the following conditions for optimal nitriding: temperature 1000, vacuum less than 110-3Pa, time 40min. Two-step methods can yield yttrium nutride powder with various particle sizes. These can be tailored to customer needs. You must have a low oxygen level and high pure metal ytrium to prepare ytrium nutride powder.
