CHEMICAL HAZARDS: This substance is flammable, hepatotoxic and decomposes upon exposure to high heat. It should be stored in a sealed container and at a low temperature.

Handling safely: It should be handled only by trained workers. A suitable protective mask is recommended for protection against inhalation.

ZINC OVERDOSE: This compound may be fatal in high doses. The toxicity of this compound is mainly due to its effects on the liver and kidneys.

Zinc is a cofactor for many proteins and has catalytic and structural roles. It plays a vital role in cellular nutrient uptake and in the regulation of various physiologic functions including cell division, reproduction and growth. It is also involved in the prevention of epithelial apoptosis.
